OptiWin is Glamox’s proprietary lighting design software. It enables even the most novice lighting designer to develop the optimal lighting solution, providing the maximum lighting for minimal cost.

  OptiWin acts as a lighting design manager, collecting all the information in a database. OptiWin can provide a complete overview of light fittings and light sources for the entire project which can then be transferred to programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
 
OptiWin’s graphic display for room information is self explanatory. All revelant information is entered using menus with pre-defined values. By simply filling in the details the illumination level estimates are calculated automatically.  
 
  OptiWin’s database contains an electronic directory with the information that lighting designers need, such as light dispersal specifications, illustrations, and technical descriptions.
 
OptiWin can manipulate complex geometric shapes such as polygonal shaped rooms and complex real world items, such as furniture.
These complex objects are stored in the OptiWin database, and users can even create and store their own objects.

When a lighting calculation is performed in OptiWin, the objects in the room are included in the calculation, allowing problems such as glare from reflected surfaces to be easily solved during the design process.

  
 


  Using the advanced visualization module built into OptiWin, users can view a realistic three dimensional model of their design with a simple click. You can rotate and turn the model to view it from any angle. Even colour schemes and reflectance values can be changed and the results are updated immediately.
